Job summary

Mashreq Bank PSC seeks an senior Solution Architect to design and review optimal approaches for Retail Banking Group initiatives. You will align business needs with enterprise technology strategy, craft scalable architectures and guide low-level designs across agile and waterfall programs.

You will drive API/microservices adoption, ensure governance, and collaborate with product, engineering and operations to deliver scalable solutions that meet security and performance standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of application development experience, including 5+ years in Solution Architecture.
• Strong banking technology knowledge with at least 5+ years in banking solutioning.
• Ability to operate in retail digital squads and SOR systems with agile and waterfall methods.
• Expertise in blueprint, high-level and low-level designs; stakeholder management.
• Experience architecting microservices-based applications and API-driven platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive identification and design of solutions meeting evolving business needs.
• Ensure architectural governance and EA standards across lifecycle.
• Review and support engineering teams building robust, scalable products.
• Drive API/microservices adoption across retail banking systems.
• Promote reusability and extensibility across retail platforms.
• Oversee modernization initiatives for retail banking needs.
• Guide security architecture and standards for customer-facing apps.
• Embed non-functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability) in designs.
• Collaborate with agile delivery models with product, engineering, operations.
• Maintain a retail technology radar and suggest innovations.
