Job description

Research Technologist I - MGH Cancer Center, Bar-Peled Lab

A position is open for a full-time Research Technologist I at the MGH Cancer Center in the Bar-Peled lab. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and organized individual to support our research endeavors. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of directly related laboratory experience, specifically in chemical proteomic sample preparation, demonstrating greater responsibility and independence.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee chemical proteomic operations within the group, including sample preparation and data analysis.
  2. Prepare samples, including tissue culture and patient samples.
  3. Operate and maintain a Bruker Tims Toff Ultra mass spectrometer and generate DIA data sets.
  4. Synthesize and interpret data from experiments, graphs, and statistical summaries to develop new techniques or determine research directions.
  5. Prepare written reports on research status, procedures, and findings, including statistical and graphical summaries.
  6. Collaborate with supervisors in writing and editing publications; may serve as principal or secondary author.
  7. Onboard and orient new technical staff; oversee duties of Technician I and II.
Qualifications

Three or more years of laboratory experience in chemical proteomics, with demonstrated responsibility and independence.
