Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, plus a Master's degree in Structural/Geotechnical/Earthquake Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience in design, supervision, and implementation of major civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with structural planning, analysis and design, FEM, and nonlinear analysis for RC and steel systems.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial structural engineering software and related tools.
• Preparation of design criteria, specs, bidding documents; review of drawings and calculations; construction supervision and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, supervision, and implementation of major civil infrastructure projects under MDB financing.
• Review and verify engineering drawings, structural calculations, and design submissions.
• Construction supervision and quality assurance of structural works and contract administration.
• Technical management of civil and infrastructure projects, with focus on adherence to MDB practices.
• MDB/World Bank procurement and contract practices experience is advantageous.

Job Summary

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline, together with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, or an equivalent field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized university.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the design, supervision, and implementation of major civil infrastructure projects executed under FIDIC Conditions of Contract and financed or supported by Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).
• Demonstrated expertise in structural engineering, Structural planning, analysis, and design, Software-based structural design and analysis, Finite Element Modelling (FEM), Linear and nonlinear structural analysis and Design of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems.
• Proven hands‑on experience in the application of commercial structural engineering software relevant to the assignment.
• Demonstrated experience in Preparation of structural design criteria, technical specifications, and bidding documents, Review and verification of engineering drawings, structural calculations, and design submissions, Construction supervision and quality assurance of structural works and contract administration and technical management of civil and infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience with the technical, contract management, and implementation practices of the World Bank or other Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) will be considered a distinct advantage.
