Job summary

Smart Working is seeking an accomplished SEO-focused digital marketer and hands-on React/Next.js developer for a remote role with a UK organisation. You will blend strategy with coding to grow organic visibility and revenue.

You will manage content marketing, analytics, and multiple websites, leveraging Claude and AI tools to automate workflows. You should excel in a fast-paced, independent and collaborative environment and have strong experience with GA4, GTM and YouTube promotion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in content marketing and SEO content strategy.
• 5+ years of experience driving Google Search and organic ranking growth.
• 5+ years of experience with Google Analytics/GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
• 5+ years of experience in keyword research and competitor analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with React and Next.js.
• 5+ years of overall experience, at Senior level.
• YouTube content promotion experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall SEO strategy.
• Own technical SEO and continuously identify and resolve issues affecting organic visibility.
• Conduct keyword research, search-intent analysis and competitor research.
• Improve organic rankings, qualified organic traffic and ultimately leads/revenue.
• Develop and execute an SEO-focused content strategy.
• Identify content gaps and opportunities and improve existing content.
• Manage and improve Google Business Profile and local search visibility where relevant.
• Monitor Google rankings, Google Search Console, GA4 and other SEO KPIs.
• Ensure analytics and tracking are correctly configured through GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
• Build useful reporting and dashboards focused on meaningful business outcomes.
• Use Claude and other AI tools extensively to improve productivity and automate repetitive SEO/marketing tasks.
• Manage tracking, A/B testing and email automation.
• Build WhatsApp agents and web agents.
• Drive YouTube content promotion as an essential part of the role.
• Implement website changes directly in the codebase without depending on a separate development team.
• Create and update website pages, layouts, components and content to support SEO and marketing objectives.
• Implement technical SEO improvements directly within React and Next.js websites.
• Maintain and improve existing websites, ensuring changes are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Handle website updates and publish changes quickly, including same-day updates when required.
