Job summary

Huzzle is seeking an experienced Video Editor with a deep understanding of short-form content, hooks, pacing, and performance-driven editing. You will craft videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other channels, collaborating with editors, designers, and account managers.

The role emphasizes fast production (5–10 edits/day), strong storytelling, and data-informed refinements to maximize engagement and reach.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of professional video and/or photo production experience, ideally within a digital marketing agency or working directly with businesses.
• Strong portfolio showing successful short-form social media editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Evidence of content with meaningful organic reach, engagement, or virality.
• Strong understanding of social media performance mechanics: watch time, retention, CTR, hooks, pacing, music trends, and viewer psychology.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud.
• Experience with Adobe Lightroom and other pro photo/video editing tools.
• Strong motion graphics and animation skills for short-form videos and ads.
• Working knowledge of AI media creation/editing tools.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining high quality.
• Comfort producing 5–10 video edits per day.
• Strong creative instincts with an analytical, performance-driven approach.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Google Drive/Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Edit high-impact short-form and digital content for blue-collar and trades-based businesses.
• Create content engineered for organic reach across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
• Develop strong opening hooks and pacing, storytelling, music, captions, and visuals.
• Analyze performance metrics to understand success factors and apply insights.
• Test and refine hooks, formats, music, and editing styles.
• Produce 5–10 high-quality edits per day while keeping brand consistency.
• Create motion graphics and animations for social content and ads.
• Elevate the agency’s social presence and client accounts.
• Collaborate with two other editors and designers for output quality.
• Participate in brainstorming and workshops with editors and managers.
• Manage post-production workflows across video and photo projects.
• Produce polished assets for social, websites, ads, and digital channels.
• Stay current with trends, tools, and production tech.
• Integrate AI tools to improve speed and output quality.
• Maintain organized project files using Google Drive/Workspace.
