Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one major editing suite (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of social media trends and ability to edit for multiple platforms.
• Creative storytelling with a keen eye for visual appeal.
• Self-directed and capable of managing multiple projects in a startup environment.
• Genuine passion for digital games, card games, or collectibles.
• Bonus: experience with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, Opus Clip) and CapCut for mobile editing.

Responsibilities

• Cut, caption, and format videos in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 aspect ratios.
• Reformat older footage to create new promotional content.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a creative, efficient, and trend-savvy Video Editor to join our marketing team. This full-time, remote role is open to talented professionals in the Philippines (preferred) or South Africa You will be the engine behind our digital content, transforming long-form video into high-impact, short-form content that drives engagement and growth.

This is a fast-paced startup environment where urgency is high and autonomy is key. We are looking for a self-directed individual who has a passion for digital games and collectibles and a strong ability to produce visually compelling content that resonates with our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Editing & Repurposing:
  • Edit long-form video into high-impact, short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Cut, caption, and format videos for multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
  • Reformat old footage and adjust clips for platform-specific requirements to create new, engaging promotional content.
• Collaboration & Quality Control:
  • Work closely with the digital marketer to ensure a consistent brand aesthetic and style across all videos.
  • Meet tight deadlines for scheduled posting and be able to pivot creative direction based on engagement metrics.
  • Maintain a consistent brand aesthetic and optimize pacing, transitions, and sound design for social platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in a Major Editing Suite: You must be highly proficient in at least one major video editing suite, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of social media trends for video performance and the ability to handle a high volume of editing with tight deadlines.
• Creative Storytelling: A sharp eye for visual appeal and creative storytelling skills.
• Self-Direction: The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a startup environment with minimal micromanagement.
• Passion for the Niche: A genuine passion for digital games, card games, or collectibles is a plus, as it aligns with our community.
• Bonus:
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, Opus Clip) and CapCut for mobile/social-specific editing is a plus.

Interview & Hiring Process
