Job summary

Fusemachines is seeking an experienced OpenShift Administrator for a remote contract role. You will manage RHEL and OpenShift across cluster nodes, handle hardware (Dell PowerEdge) lifecycle, and coordinate with the colocation facility.

You will also support the Watson/Fusion deployment on OpenShift and ensure security hardening. The role requires 3+ years in RHEL/OpenShift, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work with limited documentation in a private data center environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience administering RHEL in production.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL and OpenShift across cluster nodes.
• Apply patches and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Manage node lifecycle (cordon/drain, reboot, scaling).
• Monitor hardware health and coordinate with vendors.
• Support IBM Watson/Fusion deployment on OpenShift.
• Maintain security hardening and access controls.
• Document architecture and runbooks.
