Job description

MBBS with at least 9 years of experience. Candidates having MCPS shall be preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee medical staff within the region, including physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
  2. Implement medical policies and procedures for the region, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
  3. Ensure timely and appropriate medical treatment for employees within the region, including coordinating care with healthcare providers and managing medical records.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to employee health and wellness, including wellness programs and health education initiatives.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical services provided within the region, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  6. Manage relationships with external healthcare providers and vendors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and other contractual obligations.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations on medical activities and outcomes for senior management and other stakeholders as needed.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and industry standards related to medical operations and employee health.
  9. Conduct regular visits to medical centers for direct supervision as required.
  10. Review monthly performance and monitoring MIS of retainer doctors and chemists in the region on Oracle Base Performance.
  11. Inquire and propose suggestions to curb misuse of medical facilities at respective medical centers.
  12. Suggest replacement of retainer doctors involved in high-value prescriptions or suspected of corrupt practices.
  13. Review monthly reports of chemists and propose measures for secure medicine delivery systems.
  14. Review referral details made by doctors to panel facilities based on reports submitted by regional medical center in-charges.
  15. Review individual bills supporting the summary of bills for approval.
  16. Arrange medical boards to review complex cases, recommend further treatment, and approve sick leave as needed.
  17. Identify and assess risks under management/ownership.
  18. Develop and implement risk response strategies.
  19. Monitor risks and response strategies.
  20. Ensure accurate and timely risk reporting information.
  21. Implement health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards to ensure employee safety and service quality.
  22. Undertake any other assignments as instructed by immediate supervisor.
