Job summary

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy seeks a Civil & MEP Cost Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for Civil and MEP works based on drawings and specifications. You will measure quantities accurately and monitor costs to align with budgets.

Responsibilities include market rate analysis, BOQ/BBS preparation, and regular progress reporting. Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD is required, with 2–4 years of relevant experience in civil estimation.

Qualifications

• B.Tech Hons Civil with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• DAE Civil with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

• Monitor project costs, budgets, progress, and provide regular reports to management.

• Budget vs actual expense analysis and tracking to keep work within budget.

Job description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works based on project specifications, drawings, and materials requirements. This includes estimating the cost of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Take accurate measurements and quantities of Civil and MEP works from architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring all components are included.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, progress, and provide regular reports to the management team.
• Market rate analysis of building material and labor Conduct regular site visits to assess the progress of works and ensure compliance with specifications, etc.
• Budget vs Actual expense analysis.
• Monitor and track project expenses, ensuring that work stays within budget and identifying cost deviations early.

- Strong understanding of building construction, drawings, and specifications.

- Proficiency in quantity take-off, estimation, BOQ, BBS, and rate analysis for Civil & MEP works.

- Knowledge of cost control, budgeting, billing, procurement, and contract management.

- Good understanding of site measurement and quantity verification.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience:

B.Tech Hons. Civil with minimum 2 years of relevant experience

DAE Civilwith minimum 4 years of relevant experience

1. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and test in Islamabad.

2. The local (Rawalpindi/Islamabad) based candidates shall be given preference.
