Job summary

iFarmer is seeking a proactive QA Engineer (Automation) to design and execute automated test scripts, ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. The ideal candidate will manage full sprint planning, work beyond assigned tasks, and tackle complex challenges under tight deadlines.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile apps, while collaborating closely with developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years in software testing with manual and automation testing expertise.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, test frameworks, DOM manipulation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sprint execution autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases for web and mobile applications, ensuring functional and regression coverage.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Conduct UI, API (Postman, SoapUI), and basic performance testing (JMeter).
• Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA while collaborating closely with developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and quality strategies.
• Enhance QA processes, introduce best practices, and explore emerging automation tools.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely defect resolution and seamless releases.
