Brands we have worked with include Oribe, Solid & Striped, Krewe Sunglasses, Nili Lotan, Nécessaire, Birdies Slippers, Staud Clothing, Givenchy, The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and the Whitney Museum. Job Description

The Technical Project manager plays a key role in our team and handles the delivery of Digital Web projects involving UX design, development and integrations and ongoing enhancements for our roster of e-commerce clients (Retainers & Ad Hoc work) & drives the technical design / solution engineering of our solutions. The Technical Project Manager ensures that we produce exceptional quality delivery on time and within budget by managing client relationships and coordinating execution of different tasks amongst internal and external teams and making sure that we implement projects using the most effective technical design & 3rd party applications.

To be successful as a Technical Project Manager, you should be happy in a client facing role, have a genuine passion for project management and all things digital, be able to interact & guide technical teams, validate approach to R&D activities and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and have a passion for client success and ensure clarity of requirements and proposing different options / solutions to fulfill client expectations.

You will need to be able to clearly articulate and document possible technical solutions and their merits (pros/cons) to drive analysis and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary client liaison and accountable person for delivery of projects and ongoing website development for your assigned client/s.
• Work with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, define the vision and the prioritized list of tasks in the backlog that will successfully execute the product roadmap to ensure client success
• Represent the needs and objectives of the client to coordinate and jointly prioritize with other project managers to optimize resource allocation, juggling scope, budget and time.
• Write detailed briefs/stories and put them in our internal tracking tool for product features so the designers and developers within the team clearly understand them
• As a key participant, work with the team to continually refine and improve the development and operations process.
• Be able to interact & guide and manage work assignments/tasks of our technical team and partner with them to analyze, document and engineer solution implementations and designs to fulfill client requirements and / or select 3rd party apps
• Be able to document and present (and recommend) different implementation solutions and their pros/cons for effective decision making
• Be able to support other project managers and participate in client calls to ask and document technical requirements and solutions

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management (or related) experience managing digital projects (web e-Commerce a plus)
• Excellent verbal, written and documentation skills
• A technical or management degree (Technical preferred, graduate degree a plus) - ability to command respect from technical teams
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Time management skills.
• A talent for creativity and problem-solving
• Exposure to GitHub or similar version control tools
• Shopify experience and understanding of standard functionality and customization options (custom code, 3rd party apps)
• UX design knowledge is a plus
