Job summary

INTECH AutomationIntelligence is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical & Automation) to support E-House Solutions across Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Utilities. The role involves DCS/PLC/SCADA/PMS programming, HMI development, and system design under PM supervision.

Based in Lahore, you will travel globally to execute commissioning, FAT, and site work, coordinate with suppliers, and deliver high-quality project deliverables while adhering to company QMS and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master Degree in engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of engineering design experience; site commissioning is an added advantage.
• Experience with design, installation, and commissioning of control and power management systems including PLC, DCS, SCADA, PMS, RTUs.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, MCCs, UPS, transformers, and power management systems.
• Basic understanding of industrial networks and IEC 61850/IEC 101 is preferred.
• Self-driven, proactive problem-solver capable of direct interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned tasks under Lead Engineer or Project Manager.
• Program DCS/PLC/SCADA/PMS and develop HMI.
• Design system hardware and software under supervision.
• Develop project documentation and perform FAT/testing.
• Carry out site commissioning and travel to global sites.
• Coordinate with suppliers for engineering deliverables.
• Ensure deadlines, quality, and client satisfaction.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver:

• Working under the Lead Engineer or directly under the Project Manager to execute assigned tasks related to the project.
• Responsible for DCS/PLC/SCADA/PMS programming and HMI development
• Responsible for system design, hardware (panel, instrumentation, electrical, network etc.) design and software design under supervision of PM/Project Lead.
• Responsible for developing and using engineering tools/processes to ensure efficient development and quality of project deliverables under supervision of PM/Project Lead.
• Developing project related documentation.
• Perform internal testing and FAT in INTECH front offices or any other part of the world, independently or under direct/remote support of PM/Project Lead.
• Carrying out site work/project commissioning in any part of the world.
• Traveling to any other INTECH office around the world on company’s assignment.
• Maintaining/ managing query lists for all internal as well as customer related queries when working directly under the Project Manager.
• Ensuring that there is only one turnaround for all the deliverables, i.e. the quality of task done by him is such that it needs just a brief review of PM / Project Lead to finalize the task.
• Ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Responsible for overall satisfaction of PM/ Team Lead with the quality of the assigned tasks.
• Finds solutions to the technical problems related to the project.
• Responsible for enforcement of Company QMS and safety standards on all assigned tasks.
• Responsible for reporting the time in Project Server
• Responsible for coordination with the suppliers for engineering and project deliverables

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s/Master Degree in engineering or in related field
• Shall have 3-4 years of engineering design experience. Exposure to sites commissioning will be an added advantage.
• Shall have experience of design, installation, and commissioning of control and power management systems including PLC, DCS, SCADA, PMS, RTU’s. Candidates with experience of interfacing electrical systems with RTU’s & PLC’s will be preferred
• Experience of Low Voltage Switchgear & MCC’s, Medium Voltage Switchgear & MCC’s, AC & DC UPS systems, Transformer Systems, Power Management Systems, VFD & Soft starters and IEDs’ will be considered as added advantage
• Shall have basic understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols. Knowledge of industrial system protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 101 etc. is preferred
• Shall be Self driven, able to carve out solutions to challenging problems, out of the box thinker, able to demonstrate proactiveness in day-to-day activities, able to interact and directly handle customer at different levels.
