Job description

Interwood is seeking a proactive and skilled Production Engineer (Board) to oversee and optimize the manufacturing operations within our board line division. This role demands hands-on experience in production environments, sound knowledge of production techniques, and a keen ability to manage both resources and timelines effectively. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining output quality, driving process improvements, and ensuring seamless coordination of labor and materials.

• Supervise and manage daily production operations on the board line floor to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

• Implement and monitor production plans based on targets, resource availability, and customer demands.

• Collaborate with planning and maintenance teams to align on schedules and reduce downtime.

• Manage workforce allocation, shift planning, and ensure effective labor utilization.

• Analyze production metrics (output, rejection rates, efficiency) and initiate corrective actions as needed.

• Enforce safety protocols and 55 principles within the work area.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in lean/kaizen activities.

• Maintain production documentation, logs, and reports for operational transparency and audits.

• Coordinate with the quality and procurement te. to ensure timely material availability and quality compliance.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical,or manufacturing Engineering

• Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in production operations, preferably in the wood, furniture, or related manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge of production processes, board material handling, and production planning

• Proven ability in labor supervision, manpower planning, and conflict resolution

• Working knowledge of production-related software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc. is a plus)

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Good interpersonal and communication abilities

• Willingness to work in shifts and high-paced factory environments
