Job summary

Pakistan Tobacco Company is seeking a Process Lead - SMD in Akora Khattak, Pakistan to coach and lead continuous improvement initiatives, deploy IWS and TPM tools, and own Centerline and changeover standards on the line.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering and has hands-on and theoretical knowledge of mechanical processes, strong communication, and the ability to train teams and drive loss elimination through data-driven root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement systems (IWS, WCM, TPM, Six Sigma).
• Hands-on and theoretical understanding of mechanical processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coach and train others.
• Understanding of storeroom operating strategies.

Responsibilities

• Coach and lead IWS capability building and systems deployment for the department.
• Deploy Autonomous Maintenance Pillar tools and systems.
• Own the Centerline Management system for the line(s).
• Train team members on documentation needed when running out of CL.
• Establish Changeover standards for all product SKUs.
• Review Changeover critiques and coach shift teams to identify and implement improvements for CO success criteria.
• Own Change Management DMS & validation processes, including benchmarking & reapplication across processes, modules and plants.
• Analyze line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities including loss trees (current vs future state).
• Lead root cause problem solving for key chronic losses on the line(s).

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Act as coach and lead on IWS capability building and systems deployment for the department
• Act as deployment lead for Autonomous Maintenance Pillar tools and systems
• Owning the Centerline Management system for the line(s)
• Training team members on documentation needed when running out of CL
• Establishing Changeover standards for all product SKU's
• Reviewing Changeover critiques and coaching shift teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities to achieve CO success criteria
• Owning the Change Management DMS & validation processes, including process benchmarking & reapplication across processes, modules and plants
• Analyzing line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities including the creation of current state and future state loss trees utilizing tools such as loss allocation and S-shape
• Leading root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the line(s)

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledgebase and practical experience on continuous improvement systems; IWS, WCM, TPM and Six Sigma
• Good understanding of mechanical processes, both hands on and theory
• Overall strong technical skills
• Understanding of storeroom operating strategies
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to effectively coach and train others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills desired
• Interpersonal collaboration skills
