UserWise, LLC is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to own the AI infrastructure and automation layer powering how the studio finds, builds, tests, launches, and scales games. You will lead production-ready AI systems and workflows, reporting to the Head of Internal Games and collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, production, engineering, UA, and QA.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with production systems.
• Recent hands-on experience building with LLMs, AI APIs, agents, or automation platforms.
• Proven experience shipping AI-powered systems, internal tools, or automation workflows in production.
• Strong programming and systems engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with modern LLM development patterns including tool calling, agentic workflows, model integration, evaluation, and orchestration.
• Experience integrating APIs, third-party platforms, and cloud-based systems.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, analytics, and using data to power automated decisions or reporting.
• Ability to design reusable systems for reliability and scale.

Responsabilités

• Own the technical architecture for AI and automation across Internal Games, establishing shared infrastructure, patterns, and engineering standards.
• Build AI agents, tools, and automated workflows across the game production lifecycle, from opportunity research through production, QA, launch, and LiveOps.
• Design reusable systems to accelerate from idea to test to launch.
• Integrate external AI/LLM models and APIs with Unity pipelines and internal tools.
• Build AI-powered analysis and reporting tools turning production data into insights.
• Create systems for monitoring workflow health, bottlenecks, and data gaps before slowdowns.
• Partner with Product Builders, Producers, UA, Creative, QA, and Game Operations to automate manual work.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows within Unity and other development environments for meaningful production leverage.
• Rapidly evaluate new models and tools, adopting what provides measurable advantage.
• Improve reliability, observability, scalability, and cost efficiency as usage grows.
• Establish guardrails around data access, security, quality, evaluation, and human review.
• Act as senior technical voice for applied AI within the studio, mentoring engineers.
