Job description

The Preservation Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the preservation of historic buildings and sites in Lahore Pakistan. This role requires a thorough understanding of architectural conservation principles and techniques as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including government agencies, property owners and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the condition of historic structures.
• Developing preservation plans and strategies that adhere to local regulations and guidelines.
• Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for restoration or rehabilitation projects.
• Monitoring construction progress and ensuring that work is carried out according to preservation standards.
• Collaborating with engineers, contractors and other professionals to address any structural issues or challenges.
• Conducting research on historical significance and cultural significance of buildings and sites.
• Providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance and preservation efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural preservation or restoration projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, methods and techniques used in historic buildings.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations and guidelines related to historic preservation.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience using computer software such as AutoCAD or Revit for design purposes.

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. The company will also provide accommodation for the successful candidate. Applicants must have their own visa or be eligible for work authorization in Pakistan.
