Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is hiring for an Automation Test Architect in Hyderabad. You will design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Core Java, and Selenium, while building scalable solutions for web apps with a focus on quality, reliability and performance.

You will participate in requirement analysis, test strategy, and automation planning, and integrate suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing within a global Agile delivery model.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience with 1+ year Playwright TS/JS.
• Strong Core Java expertise.
• Extensive Selenium WebDriver automation experience.
• Experience building automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid).
• Solid OOP, collections, exceptions in Java.
• Familiar with TestNG/JUnit/Cucumber or BDD.
• API testing exposure (REST Assured/Postman).
• Git/GitHub/Bitbucket for source control.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), Core Java, and Selenium.
• Build scalable automation solutions for web applications with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
• Create reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities following framework design principles.
• Develop and execute automated UI, API, and end-to-end test cases.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test strategy preparation, and automation planning.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Your Profile

• 4+ yrs of IT experience & min of 1+ yrs hands‑on expertise in Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Strong coding experience in Core Java.
• Extensive experience in Selenium WebDriver automation.
• Proven experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch (Hybrid, Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, BDD, etc.).
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and Java programming standards.
• Experience with test runners and frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or BDD frameworks.
• Good exposure to API Testing (REST Assured/Postman/Karate is preferred).
• Experience with source control tools such as Git/GitHub/Bitbucket.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
