Job summary

Globalli is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to elevate quality across our global HR/payroll SaaS platform. You will own automation across UI, API, and microservice boundaries, and contribute to testing infrastructure.

You will embed in sprint planning, drive shift-left practices, and mentor engineers on testing strategies while collaborating with product owners and developers. This role emphasizes end-to-end test design and fast feedback loops.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience in production software environments.
• Strong TypeScript skills: write test code that is clean, readable, and extensible.
• Solid experience with Playwright or Cypress for E2E testing (UI and API).
• Familiarity with runtime schema validation libraries like Zod.
• Experience with STLC, testing patterns, and end-to-end test design strategies.
• API testing with Postman and/or REST-assured across RESTful/event-driven interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated E2E test suites covering UI, API, and third-party integrations.
• Champion shift-left practices by embedding in sprint planning and design reviews.
• Own regression testing, exploratory testing, and production validation for critical workflows.
• Write type-safe test code using TypeScript and Zod to reduce false positives.
• Build and maintain E2E/component tests with Playwright/Cypress for key user flows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD for fast, reliable feedback to developers.
• Design and execute API test coverage using Postman and REST-assured.
• Test microservice event-driven workflows across boundaries.
• Identify coverage gaps, prioritize by risk, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate in QA to standardize tooling and documentation.
• Identify, triage, and track bugs using Jira and Xray.
• Mentor engineers on testability and release confidence.
