Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutic uses, dosage, contraindications, and common drug interactions.
• Accuracy in prescription review, dispensing, labeling, calculations, and documentation.
• Patient counseling skills, including the ability to explain medication instructions clearly and compassionately.
• Sound judgment in identifying medication risks and escalating concerns to prescribers.
• Familiarity with Pakistan pharmacy regulations, confidentiality, and medication safety procedures.
• Competence in inventory control, expiry monitoring, and appropriate medicine storage.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related risks.
• Dispense and label medications in accordance with applicable Pakistani laws, professional standards, and established procedures.
• Provide clear counseling to patients on medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, and adherence.
• Coordinate with prescribers and care-team members to clarify prescriptions and support appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate prescription, dispensing, inventory, and controlled-medicine records while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and follow safe storage and handling requirements.
