The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and coordination with providers and billing teams to resolve documentation issues and support audits. You will index, scan, and categorize documents, verify demographics, and handle requests while adhering to privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in medical records, healthcare documentation, data entry, medical billing support, or related admin role.
• Experience with US-based healthcare providers preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update patient medical records accurately in electronic health record systems.
• Review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Organize, file, retrieve, and process patients' records as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information per privacy standards.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance details, clinical documentation, and related records.
• Assist in processing requests for medical records from authorized parties.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, billing teams, and staff to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Support record audits and timely correction of missing information.
• Maintain indexing, scanning, uploading, and categorization of medical documents.
