Job summary

DCC Consultants in Lahore is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to support US healthcare billing operations. You will prepare, review, and submit claims, verify eligibility, and follow up on denials.

The role requires strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and payment posting, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing. The position follows a night shift (6 pm – 3 am PKT) and offers bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, claims processing, or similar healthcare billing role.
• Strong understanding of US healthcare billing processes, insurance claims, denial management, and payment posting.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, modifiers, EOBs, ERAs, and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance payers in a timely manner.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage details, and authorization requirements.
• Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims and take appropriate corrective action.
• Analyse claim denials, identify causes, and submit appeals or corrected claims as needed.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
• Review patient accounts, outstanding balances, adjustments, and payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and healthcare providers to obtain missing documentation or clarification.
• Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with payer requirements and company policies.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and support timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Prepare billing reports and support ad-hoc revenue cycle management tasks as assigned.
