Job summary

READ Foundation Nok Kundi Project in Balochistan seeks a Finance Coordinator to oversee financial management, accounting, and compliance for the Government Primary School Support Project. The role ensures financial integrity and smooth operations across the project team.

You will implement internal controls, manage budgets, monitor donor requirements, and prepare financial reports and audits. Prior NGO experience and knowledge of Pakistani tax and statutory regulations are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (ACCA, CMA or CA Inter) is an advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in an NGO.
• Demonstrated budgeting, reporting, donor compliance and ERP software experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, internal controls, risk management, taxation and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely recording of all project transactions.
• Manage cash flow, bank balances and petty cash; process payments after approvals and supporting documents.
• Review invoices, receipts, and other documents before processing payments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations and month-end packages.
• Support budget preparation and revisions; monitor expenditure and forecast.
• Develop monthly/quarterly forecasts with project teams; ensure cost-effective implementation.
• Review partner financial reports and perform due diligence and compliance checks.
• Identify gaps and provide capacity-building support to partners.
• Prepare donor-compliant reports and ensure tax/donor/organizational compliance.
• Coordinate audits and follow up on recommendations; maintain fixed asset register.
