Job summary

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is seeking a Network & Surveillance Systems Engineer to configure, troubleshoot, and support the campus network and security surveillance system. Responsibilities include configuring Cisco routers/switches, routing protocols, firewall/security components, and CCTV/ACS access control systems.

A minimum of 3 years in a large IT environment is required, with a degree in CS or related field.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university.
At least 3 years of IT experience in a large organization.
Experience configuring Cisco routers/switches and CCTV/security systems.

Responsibilities

Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and multilayer switches.
Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols and inter-VLAN routing.
Assist with configuring campus security appliances (Firewall, IPS, DMZ, IPSec).
24/7 proactive monitoring of campus services to ensure uptime and escalate issues.
Configure CISCO wireless LAN infrastructure and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
Manage access control readers, controllers, and software.
Install/troubleshoot/replace security cameras campus-wide.
Administer MS SQL and Windows Server 2016 or above.
Verify backups of databases and video records for access control/CCTV.
Support surveillance system functionality and new project deployments.
