Extravis Limited seeks an experienced Network Engineer for a permanent remote engagement from Karachi, Pakistan. You will architect, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise networks using Cisco IOS, VLANs, OSPF, and modern monitoring tools.

You will work with cross-functional IT teams to ensure uptime, low latency, and robust security, including DHCP/DNS/NAT services and syslog/NetFlow analysis. Previous CCNA proficiency is required.

Detailed Job Description

As a Network Engineer supporting Extravis on a remote basis from Karachi, Pakistan, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of network routing and switching, configuration hardening, and proactive system monitoring. Your day-to-day responsibilities include configuring VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel, and OSPF, managing DHCP, DNS, and NAT/PAT services, analyzing Syslog and NetFlow data, and collaborating directly with multidisciplinary IT engineering squads. You will operate in a collaborative remote enterprise technology environment while partnering closely with global technology leaders and human resource executives like the Extravis talent acquisition team.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, test, and maintain enterprise routing and switching architectures utilizing Cisco IOS command-line interface.
• Implement and manage Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel links, and OSPF routing protocols.
• Administer core network services including DHCP, DNS, Network Address Translation (NAT), and Port Address Translation (PAT).
• Monitor network performance, traffic flows, and security telemetry utilizing Syslog, NetFlow, and advanced SNMP tools.
• Enforce rigorous network security policies, access control lists (ACLs), and firewall hardening across enterprise data links.
• Utilize network simulation tools and Linux environments to test configurations, troubleshoot routing issues, and validate changes.
