Job summary

Cybernet is seeking a dynamic Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and maintain our national ISP infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proven experience with BGP/OSPF and Layer 2 tech.
• Familiarity with scripting or network automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain ISP core, aggregation, and access networks (Layer 2 and Layer 3).
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement and manage BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS policies.
• Monitor network performance with Zabbix, Cacti, or SolarWinds.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents.
• Collaborate with NOC, systems, and field engineering for end-to-end service delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency responses.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and change logs.
• Evaluate new networking technologies, propose improvements, and contribute to capacity planning.

• Implement and manage BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS policies.


• Monitor network performance and availability using tools like Zabbix, Cacti, or SolarWinds.


• Conduct root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.


• Proven experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 2 technologies (STP, LACP, VLANs).


• Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, IPv6, and CGNAT.


• Familiarity with scripting or network automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus


• Certifications like Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)/ Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA)
