Job summary

Translation Empire PK is seeking a motivated QA Executive with 3-5 years of manual software testing experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The role involves test planning, execution, defect tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Work from Office with a 10am-7pm shift. Location: DHA Sector F Rwp. Candidates should be adept at creating test plans, executing tests, and reporting quality metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test strategies to ensure software meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Validate bug fixes and execute re-tests to ensure issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to established QA methodologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test results.
• Work closely with development, product management, and design teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and potential risks to stakeholders.
• Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
• Prepare clear and concise test execution reports for management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail) and their application
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Good communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus
• Exposure to Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in the testing process
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools
• Awareness of industry-specific compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
