Qualifications

  • Must have MBBS or equivalent and medical council registration.
  • Strong clinical foundation in Medicine with evidence-based practice.
  • Experience in patient care including assessment, diagnosis, and follow-up.
  • Experience coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exposure to surgical/procedural care and perioperative support.
  • Willingness to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call.
  • BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Medical Officer role based at Masood Hospital in Lahore. The Medical Officer will provide direct patient care, including history-taking, examination, diagnosis, and management under relevant clinical protocols. Daily responsibilities include prescribing and monitoring treatment, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating care with physicians, surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health teams. The Medical Officer will assist in surgical and procedural care as required, participate in ward rounds and handovers, and ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines. The role also involves contributing to clinical training activities, educating patients and families about care plans, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Strong clinical foundation in Medicine, with the ability to apply current guidelines and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated skills in Patient Care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Experience Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient management.
  • Exposure to Surgery and procedural assistance, with a focus on perioperative patient support and safety.
  • Ability to participate in Training activities, including peer learning, case discussions, and patient education.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
  • Basic life support (BLS) or advanced life support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and decision-making skills, with commitment to ethical and non-discriminatory practice.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
