Job summary

Edge is seeking a Medical Billing Coordinator based in Lahore or Islamabad to manage end-to-end billing and ensure timely reimbursement for healthcare services. You will prepare and submit claims, verify ICD-10/CPT codes, post payments, and resolve denials to maintain AR metrics.

You must be CPC and/or AAPC certified with strong English communication, and prior billing experience in US payer environments is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be located in Lahore or Islamabad.
• CPC and/or AAPC certification required.
• Experience with US payer billing (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for accuracy and documentation support before claims.
• Prepare and submit clean electronic claims (837P / CMS-1500) via EHR and clearinghouses.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, authorization, and billing documentation.
• Monitor claim status and resolve rejections promptly with payer outreach.
• Apply payer guidelines, fee schedules, and filing limits to reduce rejections.
• Analyze denials, correct issues, and track outcomes of revised claims or appeals.
• Interpret EOBs/ERAs to post payments, reconcile balances, and manage underpayments.
• Process patient payments and manage refunds per policy.
• Monitor aging and conduct AR follow-up; escalate unresolved claims.
• Assist patients with billing inquiries with empathy and clarity.
• Safeguard PHI and ensure HIPAA compliance.
