Job Purpose
The Mechanical Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of all mechanical works at the site, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems. The role ensures that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily mechanical activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution of works.
- Monitor installation of HVAC systems, plumbing works, firefighting systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Ensure work progress is in line with project timelines and milestones.
- Review and verify mechanical drawings before execution.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Conduct inspections and ensure quality control standards are maintained.
- Report and rectify any discrepancies or deviations from the approved plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage at the site.
- Maintain proper documentation of daily site activities, manpower, and material usage.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for management review.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Electrical, Civil, ELV) for smooth integration of mechanical works.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with consultants, clients, and main contractors as required.
- Follow up with procurement for timely material delivery and verify material quality upon receipt.
- Identify and resolve site execution issues in coordination with the engineering team.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
- 3–7 years of experience in mechanical works for high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management tools.
- Knowledge of site safety regulations.
