Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Data Strategist to shape the very first step of a prospect’s journey with MediaRadar. This role is about using data storytelling to capture attention, spark interest, and inspire prospects to engage with us. Rather than analyzing existing leads, your focus will be on creating compelling narratives from data that demonstrate MediaRadar’s value upfront—helping drive new prospects to work with us.

You will thrive in this role if you are equally comfortable working with raw data and engaging with non-technical stakeholders, bringing both analytical precision and storytelling skills to the table.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large, varied marketing datasets from multiple platforms to extract meaningful insights.
  • Normalize incomplete or inconsistent datasets, addressing issues like missing months, outliers, or vendor gaps.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all data visualizations and presentations, even when handling messy or incomplete data.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and market narratives that resonate with target audiences through data analysis.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling & Content Creation: Craft data-driven stories that position MediaRadar as a preferred partner for prospects.
  • Translate complex data into compelling marketing and sales collateral (campaigns, pitch decks, industry reports) for external use.
  • Create public-facing reports, dashboards, and marketing collateral that showcase data-driven insights.
  • Use insights to capture and convert interest into leads, effectively showcasing MediaRadar's unique market value.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Collaborate closely with business and client-facing teams to understand strategic needs and shape data into compelling narratives.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to define prospect-facing metrics and strategies that open doors with clients.
  • Partner with contractors, internal analysts, and marketing stakeholders to streamline reporting and storytelling processes.
  • Contribute to shaping the role's evolution, bridging technical data work with business strategy.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Build clear, impactful dashboards and reports that communicate insights to marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Stay current with industry tools and best practices to continuously improve data storytelling and prospect engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong analytical foundation with proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and marketing data platforms.
  • Ability to move beyond technical analysis into strategic thinking and narrative building.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort with messy, incomplete, or inconsistent data—able to normalize and derive actionable conclusions.
  • Strong business acumen; ability to connect data to client outcomes and market opportunities.
  • Prior experience creating client-facing reports is a MUST.
  • A strategic thinker who can align data-driven storytelling with business development and prospecting goals.
  • Fluency and confidence in English communication (verbal and written).
  • Experience in digital advertising/media/marketing analytics preferred.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in advertising, media, or marketing analytics industries.
  • Exposure to AVOD/streaming or similar data-driven marketing environments.
  • Prior work in strategy-focused data roles (e.g., marketing insights, analytics storytelling).
