Job summary

Esquare is seeking a Marine Superintendent in Pakistan to oversee the operations of its container, oil or gas tanker fleet. The role requires 2+ years in a Marine Superintendent position or 5 years in ship management, with strong leadership and inspection capabilities.

You will supervise marine, nautical, safety and commercial activities, ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM/ISPS and regulatory standards, and coordinate with technical/HSSEQ teams. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advancement opportunities.
• 2+ years as Marine/HSSQE Superintendent on tankers or 5+ years in ship management/owning company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise marine, nautical, safety, security and commercial activities of assigned vessels.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS and other regulations.
• Monitor vessel performance, voyage planning, cargo handling and efficiency.
• Conduct vessel inspections, internal audits and risk assessments; support third‑party inspections.
• Lead incident investigations and non‑conformance reporting under the Safety Management System.
• Provide technical guidance to Masters, officers and crew; coordinate with Technical, HSSEQ, Purchasing, Crewing and Operations.
• Assist in budgeting, dry‑docking activities and preparation of performance/compliance reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise marine, nautical, safety, security and commercial activities of assigned vessels.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS and other international regulations, as well as Classification Society, Flag State and Port State Control requirements.
• Monitor vessel performance, voyage planning, cargo handling and operational efficiency.
• Conduct vessel inspections, internal audits, risk assessments and support SIRE, CDI, RightShip and other third‑party inspections.
• Implement the company’s Safety Management System and lead incident investigations, corrective actions and non‑conformance reporting.
• Provide technical guidance to Masters, officers and crew and coordinate with Technical, HSSEQ, Purchasing, Crewing and Operations teams.
• Assist in budgeting, dry‑docking activities and preparation of performance and compliance reports.

Who Should Apply
