Position Overview:

The Manager, Software Orchestration leads the Software Orchestration team and works across Software, Cloud, and Security functions to convert strategy into coordinated execution. The role drives operational alignment, functional improvement, tool utilization, go-to-market readiness, and cross-divisional collaboration across PPM, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Solution Centers, Marketing, Services, Digital Transformation, and IT.

This leader also directs the business analysis capability supporting Software Orchestration. The role supervises analysts responsible for developing frameworks, analytical models, dashboards, tools, and standardized processes that help data influence decisions at all levels. The successful candidate combines people leadership, operational management, quantitative analysis, stakeholder influence, and the ability to shape both the Software Orchestration and analytics roadmaps.

Strategy, Orchestration, and Execution

  • Establish strategic goals and direction for the development, implementation, maintenance, continuous improvement, and execution of Software Orchestration functions and projects.
  • Translate Software, Cloud, and Security priorities into coordinated plans, roadmaps, workstreams, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-divisionally to align teams around critical business needs and drive execution across functional boundaries.
  • Bring cross-team roadmaps together into a cohesive strategic vision and communicate that vision to key stakeholders across Zones.
  • Drive business cadence by measuring and tracking critical projects, identifying obstacles, preparing decision-ready content, and presenting during stakeholder discussions.
  • Identify areas where process, policy, tooling, data, or operating-model improvements can unlock value and improve execution.
  • Drive strategic guidance toward improved software quoting and discounting workflows.
  • Lead process research and analysis to improve functional performance, handoffs, consistency, and scalability.

People Leadership and Team Development

  • Manage and support Software Orchestration team members, including direct reports and matrixed indirect reports.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor analysts and orchestration professionals; set clear priorities, expectations, and standards for quality and execution.
  • Enable training and development through cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, structured feedback, and practical coaching.
  • Balance team capacity and reallocate resources toward high-priority efforts as business needs change.
  • Maintain oversight of work intake and ad hoc requests to ensure assignments are appropriately scoped, prioritized, and completed.
  • Build a collaborative, accountable team culture focused on data-informed decisions, stakeholder outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Business Analysis and Insights

  • Lead the team in identifying and studying performance data across Operations, Supply Chain, Solution Centers, PPM, Marketing, and Services while considering impacts to Sales.
  • Ensure analytical work produces meaningful recommendations, actionable insights, and clear implications for business decisions.
  • Apply and coach the team on end-to-end analytics, including data extraction, validation, modeling, analysis, interpretation, visualization, and business communication.
  • Use quantitative analysis and effective data presentation to look beyond reported results and identify the factors driving business performance.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for improved data tracking, predictive insights, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Maintain the analytics roadmap, project status, priorities, timelines, dependencies, and expected completion dates.
  • Coach the team on the appropriate use, strengths, and limitations of different analytical methods and data-modeling approaches.
  • Challenge requests when appropriate to clarify the business question, improve analytical value, avoid duplication, and protect team capacity.

Data Infrastructure and Tool Utilization

  • Partner with Digital Transformation, IT, and other appropriate functions to establish the data infrastructure and models required to support analytical deliverables.
  • Plan for reliable storage, access, governance, and usability of information needed for analytics success.
  • Promote effective utilization of approved tools across Software Orchestration workflows, reporting, project tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Identify data, system, or process limitations and coordinate with responsible teams to define practical improvements.
  • Encourage reusable datasets, standardized definitions, repeatable reporting, and documented analytical processes.

Stakeholder Alignment and Enablement

  • Act as a liaison across teams to drive enablement for stakeholders in PPM, Sales, Supply Chain, and other impacted functions.
  • Manage enablement and readiness across the various roles affected by Software, Cloud, Security, and PPM initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with senior-level stakeholders and business partners.
  • Engage data consumers to understand information needs, clarify intended use, and educate stakeholders on available business intelligence capabilities and functionality.
  • Communicate complex operational and analytical topics in clear business language, including recommendations, tradeoffs, risks, and required decisions.
  • Influence organizational priorities and partner decisions through evidence-based recommendations and structured stakeholder discussions.

Go-to-Market Readiness

  • Drive PPM-led go-to-market initiatives by coordinating strategy, readiness, communications, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with relevant teams to translate roadmap priorities into practical field and operational readiness activities.
  • Prepare stakeholder materials, updates, and recommendations that support launch decisions and execution.
  • Track readiness risks, actions, ownership, and progress through established business cadences.

Operating Cadence

Per Project

  • Ensure work is executed through an organized, standardized approach with defined scope, outcomes, owners, timelines, and status reporting.
  • Confirm that analytical and orchestration deliverables address the agreed business need and include actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor dependencies, risks, obstacles, decisions, and changes in priority.

Weekly

  • Provide status updates for work underway, including percent complete, obstacles encountered, expected completion dates, and support required.
  • Review team workload, project priorities, ad hoc requests, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor critical projects and escalated decisions or barriers that require stakeholder action.

Monthly

  • Assess business analytics and orchestration needs across Operations, Supply Chain, Solution Centers, PPM, Marketing, Services, and Sales.
  • Review roadmap progress, capacity, outcomes, emerging needs, and opportunities for functional improvement.
  • Meet with key data consumers and stakeholders to understand needs and reinforce effective use of existing data and capabilities.

Ongoing

  • Research relevant technologies, analytical methods, and process improvements through industry resources, seminars, conferences, and professional networks.
  • Identify technologies or processes that can augment team capabilities and improve business value.

Success Measures

  • Execution of Software Orchestration priorities against agreed objectives, milestones, and business outcomes.
  • Quality, timeliness, and business relevance of analysis, recommendations, dashboards, and stakeholder materials.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data science, information systems, computer science, engineering, finance, economics, operations, or a related quantitative or technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams responsible for business analysis, analytics, strategy execution, operations, program management, or cross-functional transformation.
  • Experience working with large datasets and applying end-to-end analytical processes from data extraction through business analysis and recommendation development.
  • Experience building relationships with senior-level stakeholders and influencing decisions across multiple functions.
  • Experience managing roadmaps, business cadences, priorities, dependencies, and executive-ready communications.
  • Experience supporting software, cloud, security, product or portfolio management, sales operations, supply chain, or related technology-driven business functions is preferred.
