Job summary

Bestway Cement Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead end-to-end procurement and supply planning for indirect materials, CKD parts, spares, and capital equipment. You will drive strategic sourcing, spend analysis, and supplier development to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and cost optimization.

Lead end-to-end import procurement, manage AMC contracts, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and procurement excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level required or higher in supply chain or a related field.
• 10–12 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience with indirect materials, CKD parts, spares, and capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials, spare parts, consumables, capital equipment, and services.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve sustainable cost savings and procurement optimization.
• Conduct spend analysis and develop category-wise sourcing strategies.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of localized CKD parts, plant and engineering consumables, maintenance spare parts, capital machinery and equipment, imported spare parts, plant & machinery, and general services including AMCs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and governance standards.
• Evaluate supplier quotations through commercial and technical assessments and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability while optimizing stock and minimizing excess inventory.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain an approved supplier base, including identification and qualification of new suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors.
• Manage end-to-end import procurement and logistics, including coordination with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics providers.
• Ensure timely shipment tracking, import documentation, customs clearance, and closure of import purchase orders until final receipt.
• Monitor supplier lead times and implement improvements to enhance procurement and logistics efficiency.
• Procure and administer service contracts, including AMCs, facility management, and engineering services, while negotiating favorable terms.
• Monitor contract compliance, service quality, and vendor performance to ensure operational excellence.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations and timely material availability.
• Resolve procurement-related operational issues and support production schedules through effective planning and execution.
• Prepare procurement performance reports and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
