Job summary

UBL - United Bank Limited is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to advance the bank's Own Impact Reduction agenda across Pakistan and GCC regions. You will coordinate energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste minimization, and data reporting initiatives with diverse functions and international operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory reporting, and driving emissions reductions to improve overall environmental performance and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, environmental management, ESG, facilities, energy management, or related fields.
• Experience in coordinating sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Bank's Own Impact Reduction Strategy and annual road map.
• Support business and support functions in reducing environmental impacts and improving resource efficiency.
• Coordinate energy efficiency, renewable energy, Green Branch, LED conversion, and other sustainability initiatives.
• Support the development and reporting of the Bank's GHG inventory and decarbonization initiatives.
• Coordinate collection, validation, and reporting of environmental data across Pakistan and GCC operations.
• Coordinate with Administration, Facilities, Procurement, IT, Operations, HR, and business units to implement sustainability initiatives.
• Support waste reduction, recycling, water conservation, and paperless banking initiatives.
• Monitor environmental KPIs and assist in preparing management, Board, and regulatory reports.
• Support Green Branch Certification and environmental awareness programmes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce emissions, improve environmental performance, and achieve operational cost savings.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on Own Impact Reduction initiatives

Job description

Support UBL's Own Impact Reduction agenda by coordinating initiatives to reduce the Bank's environmental footprint.
