Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operational Risk Assessment of Branches/Units and Bank Policies & Procedures Reviews
  2. Execute operational risk assessments of business units by visiting sample units to oversee control effectiveness. Collaborate with Business & Functions representatives to gather control and risk metrics for monitoring Operational Risk KRIs.
  3. Conduct periodic reviews of bank policies, procedures, and products to identify gaps and ensure regulatory compliance, proposing banking best practices proactively.
  4. Prepare risk assessment reports based on data analysis.
  5. Ensure effective implementation and annual update of bank-wide risk registers, KRIs, KPIs, and internal control sample testing.
  6. Review OR Assessments periodically to reflect environmental changes, controls, and treatment plan progress.
  7. Utilize mathematical and statistical skills to develop risk models supporting Operational Risk Management.
  8. Development & Implementation of Incident Reporting, Loss Database & Risk Management Tools
  9. Develop mechanisms for incident reporting and loss database covering all bank-wide near-misses and losses.
  10. Report and escalate significant operational risk events.
  11. Quantify operational risk using incident and loss data modeling.
  12. Conduct root cause analysis for relevant events and communicate updates to senior management.
  13. Maintain database for Ubank Goldsmith Panel/surveyors, ensuring due diligence and record keeping of panelist movements.
  14. Awareness & Training
  15. Conduct awareness and training sessions at assigned branches.
  16. Reporting, Record/Data Maintenance
  17. Prepare and maintain reports of all tasks assigned, including special tasks.
  18. Technical Competency and Skills
  19. Effective interpersonal, communication, team building, and management skills.

  21. Sound knowledge of Ubank products, processes, and policies.
