As Manager – MEP, you will serve as the technical lead driving our physical warehousing infrastructure, cooling systems, and facilities engineering. You will combine technical design review with active project execution—managing MEP teams and contractors, overseeing HVAC and refrigeration reliability, controlling project budgets (BOQs/IPCs), utilizing digital maintenance/CMMS tools, and traveling to facility sites nationwide to enforce high engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- MEP Engineering & Design: Develop and review MEP engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and cost estimates for new warehouses, expansions, and renovations. Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current systems.
- Project Management & Execution: Lead MEP projects from initial planning and budgeting through execution, commissioning, and final handover. Review contractor invoices, IPCs, variation orders, and manage tender evaluations.
- Facilities Maintenance & Cooling Infrastructure: Direct preventive and corrective maintenance across ambient, cold, and temperature-controlled storage facilities. Ensure the reliability of HVAC, cold-room refrigeration, backup power, and fire safety systems.
- Team & Contractor Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build in-house MEP engineers and technicians. Manage external contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality workmanship and contract compliance.
- Tech-Driven Management & Analytics: Utilize AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS digital tools/dashboards to monitor project progress, equipment performance, utility consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Safety, QSHE & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all installations and maintenance practices comply with local building codes, electrical standards, fire safety requirements, and company QSHE guidelines.
- Multi-Site Oversight & Travel: Conduct regular site visits across Pakistan to inspect works, resolve technical breakdown emergencies, and ensure uniform engineering standards.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in MEP engineering, project execution, and facilities management. Preference for background in warehousing, industrial plants, or cold storage facilities.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC, commercial refrigeration/cooling infrastructure, electrical distribution, power systems, fire protection, and utility optimization.
- Software Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, and digital maintenance/CMMS reporting tools.
- Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to undertake frequent travel to facility sites nationwide.
