Job description

Position: Media and Communications Specialist

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy, utilizing various media channels to maximize campaign impact.
  • Integrate media strategy with the Edutainment approach, linking news and entertainment media efforts.
  • Promote sexual and reproductive health education in a culturally sensitive manner, targeting parents, teachers, community leaders, and adolescents.
  • Identify innovative media angles and contribute to creative campaign tactics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media and external contacts; manage contacts databases.
  • Create press releases, articles, reactive lines, and organize press conferences and media visits.
  • Secure regular, high-quality media coverage of campaign activities and messages.
  • Monitor media coverage, evaluate effectiveness, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Build relationships with celebrity ambassadors for the campaign.
  • Contribute to regular progress reports for the Program Management Unit.

Job Specification
