Job summary

JazzWorld Islamabad seeks an accomplished Manager Jazz GSM Strategy to shape the consumer business roadmap and translate complex performance data into actionable decisions. You will lead cross-functional teams, present to senior leaders, and drive strategy across ExCo and external forums.

You will build a consolidated Consumer strategy, track quarterly performance, and guide course corrections with a strong emphasis on financial alignment and stakeholder influence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or related field.
• 4-7 years of strategy, business planning, analytics, pricing or related field.
• Experience in telecom or consumer businesses; international exposure is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
• Excellent storytelling and executive presentation skills for senior leadership.
• Ability to align multiple stakeholders into one coherent strategy.

Responsibilities

• Shape the annual Consumer strategy by integrating plans from product and business teams.
• Lead quarterly strategy reviews and forecast alignment with the business plan.
• Analyze market dynamics and performance to identify root causes and opportunities.
• Partner with Planning, P&L, and FP&A to align strategy with financial outcomes.
• Create strategic narratives and executive presentations for top leadership.
• Interface with Corporate Strategy to ensure consistent representation across Jazz.
• Evaluate high-impact opportunities with financial analysis and business cases.
• Lead, coach and develop the Expert Jazz GSM Strategy team.

Build the strategy that shapes the future of Jazz's Consumer business.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and translate complex business performance into clear recommendations that drive decisions at scale.

What You’ll Own

• Shape the Strategy: Develop the annual Consumer strategy by bringing together plans from product and business teams into one clear strategy aligned with Jazz GSM’s business ambition.
• Track the Business: Lead quarterly strategy reviews, assessing actual performance and year-end outlook against the approved business plan and identifying where course correction is required.
• Identify What’s Driving Performance: Analyse business gaps and root causes across market dynamics, execution, investment, network, budget and other business enablers, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Enable Strategic Decisions: Partner with Planning, P&L, Performance Management and FP&A teams to ensure strategy, business plans, forecasts and financial outcomes remain aligned.
• Shape the Story for Leadership: Develop strategic narratives and executive-level presentations for the President Jazz GSM and VP Jazz Consumer Growth across ExCo, OpCo, VEON Group and external forums.
• Connect Strategy Across Jazz: Act as the key interface with Jazz Corporate Strategy to ensure Consumer strategy is aligned and consistently represented across the organisation.
• Lead Strategic Opportunities: Evaluate high-impact opportunities such as spectrum auctions, new ventures and other strategic initiatives through business cases, financial analysis and clear recommendations.
• Build the Team: Lead, coach and develop the Expert Jazz GSM Strategy, creating a high bar for analytical thinking, strategic insight and executive communication.

Requirements

You May Be a Strong Fit If You Have

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management Sciences, a quantitative discipline or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CFA, ACMA or CIMA are a plus.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in strategy, business planning, commercial analytics, pricing, finance or a related field.
• Experience in telecom, consumer businesses, digital services or other commercially driven industries; international exposure is a plus.
• Strong understanding of business models, commercial drivers, financial performance and P&L dynamics.
• A proven ability to bring multiple stakeholder perspectives together into one coherent strategy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to move from data → insight → root cause → recommendation.
• Excellent storytelling and executive presentation skills, particularly when communicating complex business topics to senior leadership.
• The confidence and credibility to challenge, influence and align senior stakeholders across functions.
• Experience in leading, coaching or developing team members.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Think-Cell.
