Job summary

Midas Safety in Karachi is seeking a seasoned cost accounting and finance professional with 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing costing. The role entails leading product costing, BOM-based costing, and material/conversion cost analyses using SAP S/4HANA CO and COPA.

You will manage month-end CO closing, variance analysis, and management reporting, while monitoring inventory valuation and working capital to drive cost efficiency and accurate financial insight across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing costing and finance.
• Expertise in product costing, standard costing, BOM-based costing, and material & conversion costing.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Controlling (CO), Product Costing and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
• Experience in cost center accounting, variance analysis, management reporting and month-end closing.
• Sound understanding of inventory accounting, inventory valuation, provisioning and working capital management.

Responsibilities

• Lead product costing activities, including product cost estimates, BOM-based costing, and material and conversion cost analysis.
• Review average costing and profitability analysis (COPA) to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Manage month-end CO closing activities and ensure timely completion of all costing-related deliverables.
• Prepare and review management reports, dashboards, variance analysis and ad hoc financial reports.
• Monitor cost centers, activity rates, capacity utilization, utility consumption and labor costs to drive cost control and operational efficiency.
• Review inventory aging, provisioning, stock counts, receivables and inventory-related reports to support effective working capital management.
• Analyze production variances, material and sales price variances, overhead absorption, and rejection trends.
• Conduct regular production floor reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve manufacturing performance.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, outlook preparation and contribution margin reviews.
• Partner with business, corporate and regional teams to resolve operational issues and provide financial insights.
• Strengthen costing processes, internal controls and reporting practices to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
