Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an experienced risk management professional to oversee reporting to senior management and ALCO, and to assist in developing and updating procedures, controls and monitoring plans for Operational Risk Management.

The role requires strong knowledge of capital and liquidity risk, recovery planning and Basel III guidelines, with a focus on accurate regulatory reporting and continued control improvements.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum 03 years of experience within the risk management domain including exposure to capital & liquidity risks, recovery and resolution planning.
  • Knowledge of Capital, Liquidity & Funding, IRRBB Risks & economic indicators

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the fund transfer pricing (FTP) mechanism and assisting in its effective implementation
  • Reporting unit’s operational risk (OR) issues and losses
  • Perform quarterly stress testing
  • Ensure effective implementation of BASEL III guidelines related to Capital & Liquidity
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly contractual, behavioural and repricing Gaps
  • Maintaining proper record keeping on all Key control sampling assessment (KCSA) activities
  • Identifying and reporting all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls
  • Act as OR coordinator for the section
  • Maintaining proper record keeping on all KCSA related activities
  • Keep track of any changes or happenings in the macro environment which may be useful points of discussion in ALCO meetings
  • Perform Daily balance sheet and trial balance review and response
  • Ensure accuracy of data by coordinating with other departments for regulatory and group reporting
  • Monitoring Limits and reporting any exceptions/breaches to senior management & ALCO
  • Adherence to annual limit review and approvals of documents that require periodic review
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of regulatory reporting
  • Ensure that policies and procedures related to liquidity risk are being effectively implemented
  • Support the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer with Recovery and Resolution Planning
  • Identifying and reporting all exceptions on non compliance with standard controls
  • Identifying and reporting all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls
