Job summary

Wateen Telecom Limited is seeking a Lead Project Manager – Energy Solutions in Lahore to drive planning, execution, and delivery of solar and BESS projects. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 5–7 years in the solar industry, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and preferably PMP certification, with proficiency in MSP/Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in the solar industry.
• Experience in utility-scale/mega-scale solar projects & BESS projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule projects from kickoff to handover.
• Coordinate with client, consultant, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Manage scope, budget, and timeline.
• Prepare and monitor project progress reports.
• Resource planning (manpower, equipment, and materials).
• Ensure site activities are executed as per drawings and specifications.
• Monitor installation of solar panels, inverters, structures, and cables.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage procurement and material delivery schedules.
• Conduct project meetings and resolve site issues.
• Track project risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with local authority and permit requirements.

Position Summary

The Lead Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar and BESS projects within defined timelines and budgets. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing site activities, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The candidate will drive project performance through effective leadership, resource management, and technical expertise.

• Project planning and scheduling from kickoff to handover.
• Coordination with client, consultant, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Managing project scope, budget, and timeline.
• Preparing and monitoring project progress reports.
• Resource planning (manpower, equipment, and materials).
• Ensuring site activities are executed as per drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring installation of solar panels, inverters, structures, and cables.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Managing procurement and material delivery schedules.
• Conducting project meetings and resolving site issues.
• Tracking project risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinating testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensuring compliance with local authority and permit requirements.
• Monitoring productivity and contractor performance.
• Managing change orders and project documentation.
• Ensuring timely completion of milestones and final project delivery.
• Supporting billing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
• Maintaining communication between all stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in MS Project (MSP) or Primavera P6.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and technical layouts.
• Understanding of procurement and logistics coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Site management and team coordination experience.
• Knowledge of renewable energy standards and regulations.
• Strong follow-up and execution capability.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. PMP certification will be preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in the solar industry.
