Lead Construction Manager for EPC Projects

Job summary

Avanceon is seeking a Construction Manager to lead planning, execution, and governance of assigned projects in Pakistan. You will coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and structural disciplines, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

You will oversee site teams, coordinate with clients and vendors, ensure QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning readiness, and drive continuous improvement through effective communication and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
• Typically 10–15+ years of construction experience on EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, IEC, NFPA, ASTM standards; PMP, PRINCE2, NEBOSH or similar certifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement construction execution plans and methodologies.
• Plan construction activities in line with project schedule.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structural, and other construction disciplines.
• Ensure manpower, materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors are available.
• Monitor daily progress and identify potential delays.
• Ensure activities align with approved drawings, specs, and method statements.
• Monitor schedule against baseline; develop look-ahead and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with PM, Engineering, Procurement, and vendors to resolve constraints.
• Lead site teams, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate with client and consultants.
• Ensure QA/QC inspections, NCR closure, and proper documentation.
• Promote HSE compliance; conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Control costs and resources; seek optimization opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
• Act as primary site representative to client and stakeholders; participate in meetings.
• Coordinate commissioning and handover activities; ensure proper turnover dossiers.
