Job summary

HR POD Careers in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Product Owner to lead requirements, user stories, and process discovery for our software products. You will gather needs from US-based clients, map as-is and to-be processes, and craft personas and journey maps to guide development.

You will own the backlog, write clear acceptance criteria, and collaborate with Tech Lead and Lead Designer to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as BA, PO, or Product Analyst in software.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields.
• Excellent English with clear communication.
• American or neutral accent preferred.
• Experience with US or international clients.
• Proficient in BRDs, user stories, journey maps.
• Strong Agile/Scrum understanding.
• Hands-on with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude Design.
• AI use for requirements, docs, data analysis, prototyping.
• Independent, fast-paced, ownership mindset.
• Open to feedback and quick to act.
• Experience with Jira, Notion, Figma, Claude Design.
• Mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with US-based clients.
• Document client processes and identify gaps and improvements.
• Create personas, journeys, and process diagrams.
• Develop understanding of product workflows end to end.
• Write user stories with acceptance criteria and backlog.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead on sprint planning and delivery.
• Partner with Lead Designer on user flows and wireframes.
• Manage scope, changes, timelines and costs.
• Prepare meeting minutes and share within 24 hours.
• Perform UAT before delivery to client.
• Support proposals, estimates, and SOWs.
• Track blockers and drive to closure.
• Use AI tools to speed up analysis and prototyping.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and grow the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Analyst in a software company.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent and fluent spoken and written English is essential, with clear and confident communication skills.
• An American or neutral accent is preferred.
• Proven experience working directly with US or international clients.
• Strong experience with requirements documentation, including BRDs, user stories, process flows, personas, and journey maps.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong hands‑on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Claude Design in day‑to‑day work.
• Experience using AI for requirements, documentation, data analysis, and rapid prototyping.
• Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their practical experience with these tools.
• Out‑of‑the‑box thinker who looks for new ways to solve problems and improve how work gets done, rather than following the usual process.
• Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Document client business processes, including as‑is and to‑be processes, and identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Create personas, user journey maps, and process flow diagrams.
• Develop a complete understanding of the product and its workflows end to end.
• Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and maintain the product backlog.
• Work closely with the Tech Lead on sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery timelines.
• Work closely with the Lead Designer on user flows and wireframes.
• Manage scope and change requests, and communicate their impact on timelines and cost.
• Prepare meeting minutes and share them with stakeholders within 24 hours.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before features are delivered to the client.
• Support the preparation of proposals, estimates, and Statements of Work (SOW).
• Follow up on blockers and action items and drive them to closure.
• Use AI tools to speed up analysis, documentation, and prototyping, and share better ways of working with the team.
• Mentor and eventually lead junior Business Analysts.
