Job summary

Descon Engineering Limited is looking for an experienced Lead Design Process to join our Boiler Design team in Lahore. You will steer process design activities for boiler projects and deliver innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has a B.Sc./B.E.

in Chemical Engineering and 6–9 years of relevant experience in process design, preferably in boiler or thermal projects. Strong analytical, planning and communication skills are essential to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/B.E. in Chemical Engineering from a reputable institute.
• 6–9 years of experience in process design, preferably boiler/thermal projects.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and process-design software.

Responsibilities

• Execute basic and detailed engineering activities for boiler projects.
• Prepare technical specifications, design parameters, method statements, and engineering calculations.
• Review and technically evaluate vendor quotations and drawings.
• Develop engineering drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with the Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable standards.
• Deliver design outputs within project and proposal timelines.
• Support the marketing team during technical discussions and provide cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Coordinate design activities and monitor project progress.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and troubleshoot design and operational issues.
• Foster teamwork and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Boiler Design Department.
