Job summary

Game District in Lahore, Pakistan, is seeking a Senior Game Designer to lead design of engaging mobile experiences from ideation to implementation. You will collaborate with artists, developers, product, and UA teams to optimize retention and monetization while keeping the player experience fun.

The role requires 3–6 years in game design with strong knowledge of mobile mechanics, economies, progression, and a data-driven mindset. Proficiency with Unity and clear GDDs (specs) is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience in Game Design, preferably mobile.
• Strong understanding of mobile game mechanics, progression, monetization, retention and engagement.
• Experience designing and launching features from concept to implementation.
• Strong understanding of game economies, balancing, rewards and progression systems.
• Ability to create clear and structured GDDs, flowcharts, wireframes and feature specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
• Good understanding of player psychology and user behavior.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop gameplay mechanics, features, systems, and progression loops for mobile games.
• Create and maintain detailed GDDs and feature specifications.
• Design player journeys, progression systems, levels, challenges, rewards, and economies.
• Analyze gameplay data, player feedback, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Developers, Artists, Product Managers, and UA teams to bring features from concept to launch.
• Prototype and test new ideas, mechanics, and features.
• Conduct competitor and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Balance difficulty, progression and in-game economies to improve engagement.
• Work on live games and optimize features based on performance.
• Participate in playtesting and provide actionable feedback.
