Job summary

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) seeks a lab assistant to support CS labs and teaching activities. The incumbent will assist students during labs, help with experiments and run routine equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires 2-3 years of lab experience, strong programming skills in Python and common languages, and solid CS/AI fundamentals, with excellent communication and teamwork. On-site position based in Pakistan.

Qualifications

• BSCS/BSAI/MSCS in Computer Science or related discipline from HEC recognized university

Responsibilities

• To assist students in teaching and lab work
• Manage and maintain lab equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning
• Conduct routine inspections, calibration, trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of lab equipment
• Assist FMs, researchers and students in lab experiments, practical sessions and research activities
• Perform other duties assigned by head of department, Dean or management as needed
• Any other task assigned by higher authorities

Key Responsibilities

• To assist students in teaching and lab work.
• Manage and maintain lab equipment, and facilities to ensure their proper functioning.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the head of the department, Dean or management from time to time.

Term and Conditions

Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).

Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

- In process of pursuing a required degree.

- Medically unfit.

- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
