Job summary

Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co. Ltd. invites a Power System Consultant to join the Smart Infrastructure team in Karachi, Pakistan.

The role involves performing advanced power system studies, coordinating protections, and delivering high-quality reports for local and regional projects. You will leverage tools like PSS SINCAL, Etap, PSSE, and SIMARIS, collaborate across regions in the Middle East, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a renowned University.
03+ years of professional work experience in power system planning, services, design and consultancy.
Good communication and writing skills; problem solving abilities.
Hands on experience with network planning software like PSS SINCAL, PSSE, Etap, SIMARIS design; Siemens PSS SINCAL experience preferred.
Flexibility to travel.
Experience in a multi-cultural organization.
Analytical mind with strong planning and self-learning skills; result and target oriented.

Responsibilities

Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash and harmonic analysis using PSS SINCAL, Etap or equivalent software.
Perform power quality measurements and studies for industries and utilities.
Produce high quality reports documenting study findings, results and recommendations.
Manage multiple projects concurrently within timelines with high technical quality and customer satisfaction.
