Job summary

Prestige Greeters in Karachi is seeking a part-time Network and Systems Administrator to maintain our company network and systems. You will troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and ensure data security while supporting users and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of network/systems experience, solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V). Strong independence and prioritization skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network and Systems Administrator.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
Experience with server administration in Windows or Linux environments.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution.
Manage user accounts and access rights on the network.
Maintain data backup systems to ensure data security.
Install and configure new servers and software as needed.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and system backups.
Collaborate with IT team members to identify areas for improvement in the network infrastructure.
