Job summary

SMEC is seeking a Junior Engineer to support our Hydropower Project based in KPK. The role involves assisting with civil engineering activities across project planning, design, construction supervision, estimation, scheduling and progress monitoring.

Suitable applicants will have a B.Sc./B.E. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably hydropower, dams or major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, preferably hydropower or major infrastructure.
• Experience in site supervision and construction monitoring.
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and construction practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with planning, design and execution of civil works.
• Support site supervision and monitor construction against drawings and specs.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, estimation and reporting.
• Support project scheduling, progress tracking and site reporting.
• Review drawings and technical documents and resolve site-related issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with standards and safety.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth execution of civil works.

The role

• Assist senior engineers with the planning, design and execution of civil works.
• Support site supervision and monitor construction activities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, measurements, estimation, costing and project reporting.
• Support project scheduling, progress tracking and preparation of site reports.
• Review drawings and technical documents and assist in resolving site-related issues.
• Conduct site inspections and support compliance with engineering standards, safety and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to support the smooth execution of civil works.

You will bring relevant consultancy experience, a strong record of achievement and a passion for building trusted relationships that drive positive change and secure new work.
