Job summary

Giant Group invites applications for an Associate Business Analyst to support transformation initiatives by analysing processes, gathering requirements, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective technology and operational solutions.

You will work across departments to identify business needs, create clear specifications, and contribute to innovation, scalability, and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Business, IT, Information Systems, CS, or related field.
• Up to 1 year of experience in a Business Analyst role or recent graduates welcome.
• Experience with process improvement, digital transformation, or system delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across departments to identify business needs and translate requirements into clear specifications for delivery teams.
• Analyse current-state processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and inform improvements and solution design.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and delivery teams to design and validate solutions against business value criteria.
• Design and run UAT plans, coordinate defect resolution, and support go-live activities and training.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and provide timely updates, flag risks and scope changes.
• Support change management for new processes or systems, including readiness activities.

About the role

As an Associate Business Analyst, you will support business transformation initiatives by analysing processes, gathering requirements, and working with stakeholders to deliver effective technology and operational solutions. This role offers an opportunity to develop your Business Analysis skills while contributing to innovation, scalability, and continuous improvement at Giant Group.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Partner with stakeholders across departments — through workshops, interviews, and structured discussions — to identify business needs, reconcile competing priorities, and translate requirements into clear, unambiguous specifications that delivery teams can act on without repeated clarification.


• Analyse current-state processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, and produce process models, diagrams, and documentation (as-is/to-be maps, decision logic, user journeys) to inform practical, evidence-based improvements and solution design.


• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and delivery teams to co-design solutions aligned with business and technical goals, acting as the bridge between business intent and execution, and validate delivered solutions against defined business value criteria and stakeholder expectations.


• Design and run UAT plans, coordinate defect resolution, support go-live activities and deliver end-user training to drive adoption.


• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and provide timely, transparent updates — proactively flagging risks and scope changes to manage expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.


• Support change management for new processes or systems, including impact assessments, communication plans, and readiness activities for affected teams.

Your ideal experience & competencies:

Ideally you would have a degree-level qualification in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or a related discipline, with up to 1 year of experience in a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, internship, placement, or similar role. Applications are also welcomed from recent graduates with relevant coursework, projects, or placements involving business change, digital transformation, process improvement, or system delivery.

• You will excel in this if you have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand business challenges, evaluate options, identify underlying needs, and translate insights into clear recommendations.


• Experience or knowledge of requirements gathering, process analysis, workflow mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, and UAT.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and BA/project tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Power BI, Figma, or Miro, with interest in AI-enabled productivity tools.
